The process of population aging in the
United States of America will be much slower than in Europe or in
China - primarily due to higher fertility. By the middle of the 21st
century, the elderly (age 60+) will be only about 26% of the US
population. |
|
Contrary to popular belief it is not
immigration alone, which slows-down the process of population aging in
the US, but significantly higher birth rates. |
