Based on a survey of executives from the world's largest companies about
future direct investments. Unknown Rank …. |

(2005): Foreign Direct Investment on the Upswing. 2005 |
|
According to a Foreign Direct Investment
Confidence Index of the management consulting A. T. Kearney, global
investors for the third consecutive year preferred China and the US as
the most attractive FDI destinations, with China on first and the United
States of America on second place in the ranking. |
|
India has greatly increased its
attractiveness for foreign investors and has moved up from rank 15 (in
the 2002 index) to rank 6 (2003 index) and has now rank 3 in investor
attractiveness. |
|
Among European countries, the United
Kingdom is most attractive to foreign investors, followed by Germany and
France. The former Asian Tigers - Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, South
Korea and Taiwan - are much less attractive than most economies from
(Eastern) Europe, with ranks of 15, 18, 20, 21 and 25, respectively. |
