Introduction |
|
This electronic publication is analyzing
the strengths and weaknesses of China, Europe and the United States of
America in ten dimensions - from the human resources to the economy and
from the technological capacity to the state of the natural
environment (see the menu items on the left). Of course, in each
dimension several issues will be studied in detail (since this work is
still ongoing, the sub-chapters are tentative). For more than 3 years I
have been collecting and analyzing statistical data, research reports
and other publications that will hopefully allow a
balanced comparison of the three major players on the global stage. |
|
As in my previous research (see:
ChinaFood
CD-ROM), I will try to combine detailed statistical data from
many different sources (in the form of tables, figures, and maps) with
in-depth analyses and interpretations to answer the question: Who will
win the global race of the 21st century? |
|
Initially, this electronic publication
will be available in two formats: as a Web Site and a CD-ROM. The Web
edition will include only a small part of the overall publication, but
it will be completely free for everyone to browse and download. The CD-ROM,
however, will be available for
sale at this Web site (and hopefully from a commercial publisher). |
|
Please note: This Web site is only an
announcement!
We plan to release the first complete edition of the CHINA-EUROPE-USA Web site in
late summer of 2008.
However, parts of the Web site will be
available much earlier as a beta-version. |
